Is anybody playing this? I've made a character on the Gilgamesh server and I have to say I feel like this is the best MMORPG I've played in awhile. Admittedly, I've always been a bit of a sucker for the Final Fantasy series though...I was a fan of FFXI as well though I couldn't deal with the level down thing. Thankfully this one is much improved since they did the remake after the initial launch disaster. If anyone wants to play on Gilgamesh let me know, my character's name is Barzon Terrechant.
I picked it up over the holiday weekend since Val spoke to me about how awesome it is. I have some friends on Gilgamesh too! I'll shoot ya both friend requests on your servers and play both for a while.
Anyone else thinking about playing again in light of the big patch coming, and the expansion that was announced? I'm pretty excited about Ishgard opening up. (Although I'm probably biased, being that I'm a dragoon....)
I have played this game and liked it but got bored pretty quickly when i had no one to play with. I would like to play it again
I am tempted to try it, both for the full Japanese support and the fact I played way too much FFXI. That was one of the best single player MMo's... (its not single player but PVE, feels like single player to me.)
random thought: anyone else get the feeling that final fantasy games are now the first lesson in roman numerals for some people?
6-7-9 and to a lesser extent 8 (because 8 should die in a fire) are all going to be lost to younger gamers. They aren't planning on redoing or re-releasing any of those final fantasies. Shame too. 6 is amazing, 7 is amazing, 8 is...8 and 9 is a wonderful throwback to the spirit of 6/7
totally agree. I avoid the new FFs but I would go back and play a remastered 6 in a heartbeat. the story was just fantastic in that game. edit: sorry. this was totally off topic.
Since they just released IV for PC a few months ago on Steam it gives me hope that we may get VI. That was one of the best RPGs ever.
