Interesting concept, playing skyrim though, so its a bit beefier than before. Also new Mario game.

 

But you can take your game with you. Also i find it funny they are going back to cartridges. Makes sense with it being mobile.

Nintendo has endured largely thanks to its "party game" cachet, so making a portable unit that supports multiplayer using its own controllers seems like a smart choice for them. Looks like a nice unit, provided that all the connectors hold up and the price point isn't too high - they've effectively combined a small tablet with a console unit here.

 

You can get netflix on the wii. Don't see why you couldn't on this. Havent watched the trailer but it sounds mostly like a beefed up nintendo ds that you can dock to tv.

I'm actually somewhat enthusiastic for this.

 

bethesda came out and said no games are currently confirmed for being on the switch console as of yet.

only partnered with them for the commercial

 

probably want to see what it can really do before they decide to make a game.

 

That's pretty damn close to false advertising.

 

I'm tentatively enthusiastic about this, I like the mobility concept, however I fear that this shall be dubbed the Nintendo Supplementary due to the (seeming) need for a potentially wide range of peripherals. They do however show an interesting selection of controllers, making me wonder if perhaps they're not actually intending it to require other controllers, merely offering wi-fi/bluetooth capability for the controllers of your choice, which would be an amazing marketing move, if someone could use the controller they're more comfortable with, even if it isn't for that specific console, that would remove one of the many objections people have about switching from one console to the next. Just going from one generation to the next can be a painful endeavor at times, being able to connect to the console with the controller of choice? Gamebreaking.

 

Probably can't play wii/wii u games. Because cartridges.
