Hey all! For this Sat's game night, Car and I are trying to set up a minor 'campaign' for mw4, for us to play through to test the abilities of the units in lance/company form. At this moment a lot of things are still up in the air, so first I want to know if this would be interesting to guys, and second how many are going to be available (Sat 12pm, EST) to participate. We'll need a minimum of 11 players to make it work, so everyone try and come out! Also, the match will be a "closed" game, meaning for once we won't have to deal with outside units. Note that if it can't happen, we'll just push it back to a later date and organize it more (assuming ya'll want to do it in the first place).
This sounds really cool (especially since I got MW4 working today) but I work Saturdays till 4 est and usually don't get home till about 5 so you'll have to count me out on this one.
Damn...I doubt we could push it back 5 hrs if we want our swedish friends to participate in the whole thing...that'd be starting at 11pm their time and idk how long it'll take. Could always break it up into two campaigns though, just have to make sure there's no "intel exchange". <_<.....>_>
I would rather see the GMTers get together with the NA contingent and promote some overall unit teamwork, I'll work my way in on Wed nights and random nights thru the week. My IRL schedule is a little crazy but I'll get in where I can.
Right, like the recon lances arent going to share intel. If thats the case we need to fire em all! Id be up for it if I can manage to rouse from my inevitable weekend coma.
I mean intel between battles...during battles its ok. Pretty sure though if we do it right we'll have you guys rilled up enough to practically hate each other...but hopefully not.
Also To Do: Buy air horn and ruin Flessar's coma. Bake more cookies. On a topic related note, I'm all for this. I can fill in as a support or striker since Caradepato should have his full recon lance.
Car will likely be a mod, so he'll be unable to give orders for a unit. However, I'll discuss this with him just incase.
Have to clean the house at some point Saturday, but that's my only commitment. Oh, and I think I'm supposed to take the wife out to a movie. But I'll be there.
...need more confirmations, but at this rate it looks like it'll have to be postponed. Perhaps next Sat will be better. Still, if more people say they can make it we'll do it anyways.
Yeh, just got word from the nipple saying that he cant make it. maybe a postpoment is in due. On the bright side, it gives or more time to organize the whole thing better.
Now will we get a heads up on which maps we'll be running, or will we be blind until the mission starts?
For missions, there will be a set map that we'll be able to study beforehand, along with the description for the mission/map. At least, that how missions normally work.
That is assuming that you have enough time to prepare for it, isn't it :friendly_wink: That depends on how much time we have to prepare this.
I'm just talking from the viewpoint of the person playing the game. The rest is up to those who created the missions in the first place.
