Would have been a lot more excited about this if it had more than arena team deathmatch (kind of burnt out on that genre), but I'm glad it exists. GITS really needs more of a presence in video games.
So... Ghost in the Shell movie: A slow placed, cerebral philosophy piece examing the nature of the human soul and what it means to be alive. Ghost in the Shell First Assault: Arena deathmatch shooter. I haven't seen SAC yet, but this setting was PERFECT for a Deus Ex style action rpg. Oh well. If this sells well maybe we can get that instead.
I have been touching this on an off occasionally, it's an interesting game but it was marred early on by horrific kill boxes. I imagine some of that has changed as in both of those videos I didn't see anyone head shot via their kneecap (I am not joking). The classes are neat and the concept of each player choosing a "character" of the series was pretty well received. Overall I wasn't blown away but it was definately a solid shooter with a relatively hands off approach to Paid content and some interesting ideas on the team deathmatch format (the think tanks are crazy interesting even if they appear to be somewhat lackluster in those gameplay vids.
