I had just finished killing the 11th tank while defending A point (there were 5 there), and shouted into chat All: -SoR-TyeDyeZombie"ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!" Team: -SoR-TyeDyeZombie "I just ran out of ammo" -SoR-TyeDyeZombie "That was a bluff" -SoR-TyeDyeZombie "plz hlp at A"
It's actually pretty fun. I tried the tanks for the first time yesterday. Got 5 kills with the starter German tank with the dinky 20mm on my first round.
Just yammered away at anything within 400m. I think 2 of them were light tanks and the rest were stolen kills . I only died once too. That's literally the only match I've played so far (new baby in the house and all that). I tried out WoT a while back and I think I like this one better. The drifting is a little weird though.
Yeah... it seems there are a lot more scrubs in tanks than in planes these days. Tier 1 tanks is a riot of hilarity.
Record is 6 player kills in my PzKpfw IV F2 along with 7 AI kills and a few AAA emplacements. The game changed when I tasted the 75mm for the first time.
I got 6 in a match with my STuG A last night. Now I need to build up my Pz38(t)s and get into Tier 2.
I haven't topped 8 kills in any match. Doing very well with the Panzer IV and StuG III, I like the Panzer 38(t) but goddamn I think my crew is forced to wear suicide bomber vests in that thing, and it has such a high CoG it rolls over if someone looks at it funny. Plus the APCR rounds are like shooting money at people. Haven't yet had the chance to try the Panzer III I just unlocked. StuG is fun but it almost feels like cheating, it's so fast and can take so many hits to frontal armor. Meanwhile, I don't remember the BT-7 and T-26 having 76mm cannons that could one-shot everything, but I guess Russians must've whined.
And what's sad is that, as variable as it can be, the way the crit system and ballistic trajectories work is so much more satisfying than the weapons in MWO. Why PGI had to whore themselves out to a bunch of e-sport tryhards instead of making a decent Battletech sim...
