In my continued pursuit to streamline the roleplaying process, here is the rough draft of a game aide that will hopefully remove the guesswork on setting up and running missions for the campaign: Campaign Stages: Event Rolls → Mission Assignment → Log Roll Results → Repairs/Upgrades → Mission Resolution NOTE: All roll results are FINAL and must be supervised by a designated Admin to be official. Event Rolls: (consult “Tables – Events” spreadsheet) GM rolls on “Random Force Table” ONCE per turn; apply results to all missions for this turn. Players roll on Individual Event Table. Players roll on Lance Event Table according to their skillsets If more than one player has the same skill, both may roll, but the last roll always stands. Mission Assignment: (consult “Tables – Mission Generator” spreadsheet) Use Random Mission Generator to determine next mission All rolls must be supervised by a designated Admin and are final (no do-overs). GM may select a specific mission instead of rolling 2d6 Log Roll Results Record all roll results for lance in corresponding lance thread Repairs/Upgrades Repair mechs Mission Resolution: Begin mission and record results! ...work in progress
update: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1jvp55dpnhu43ql/GM-Admin Master Rules 1.1.doc I tweaked a few things and simplified some terminology. (WIP)
for purposes of our next set of drops, here is info using our cleaner system: GM rolled 9: Hunting Season is Open - OpFor has: BV -10%, -1 Tactics Level these conditions will last for the duration of Turn 02... light 'em up boys n' girls
