For those who haven't seen the announcement: So in our discussions lets please keep to the last part since this is a public forum. Now, questions! 1.) How does the tank play compare to say World of Tanks? I know that's a difficult question, just give some impressions please. 2.) Is the tier system similar to the planes? Earlier models in lower tiers etc? 3.) What does the (3/3) and (4/4) beside the tier ranking on the crew bar stand for? 4.) Do the tanks have a chance at shooting down planes?
1. It feels heavier, which I think is good. Even in a light tank it feels like you are driving a several tonne metal box with tracks. Once they build up speed and you go down a hill you are very much likely to slide out of control, since high speeds with 10-50 tons of armor tend to result in drifts even with tracks. Feels rather realistic. 2. Not much to say about the tiers so far, we are only allowed 9 tanks for now spread out over Tiers Reserve, I and II. So far the upgrade system is identical to Air Force. 3. The times you can spawn that same tank. Notice that the T-26 get 4/4 while the KV-1 only has 1/1. 4. There is a Flakpanzer I in the German tree along with a PzII with 20mm that I can imagine could bring planes down. For all other purposes I refer you to this:

There's a bunch of videos floating around also, here's a decent one. The guy doing it does good plane vids for WT.
Answering to these 2 since Wargtass answered them. 1. Its more realistic than WoT by a large margin and it will get better once they improve physics for the tanks. Like Wargtass said, it feels your driving a huge steel machine instead of race car or motorbike(some light tanks in wot). Spotting is way better, there is no russian tanks with klingon technology installed, ballistics and damage modeling are more accurate and better overall atleast in my opinion. 2. Tiering will be done like planes unless devs have changed their plans, which would be kinda odd since one of the reasons they gave for changing the tiering was ground forces.
It's about time I uploaded another gallery for you, this time mostly with hangar pics showing of the stats and models. However I took some nice pictures withe the TPV zoom that created a wonderful illusion; being the top-commander of a ISU and Ferdinand. Gallery! This testing session was all about the weight and it feels really heavy to be sure. Unlike in WoT the Königstiger (Tiger II) in both variants are very much the terrors on the map with excellent penetration and armor (and no burning engine from being shot in lower glacis mind you). My price goes to the Jagdpanther and Panther G though, which were truly formidable in their battlefield roles. Took out ten heavies with my Jagd before they finally realized which bush I was hiding in and with the Panther I flanked tanks like I have never done before (well, the T-34-85 works damn well for that as well). Final score on this test session: 9/10, truly exciting to use these behemoths and the firefights were more intense than ever now that each tank only received one chance to do its thing. This was more of what I wanted to see out of WT:GF and only a few bugs kept it from earning the full tenner. Then again, I have only played it for about an hour and a half, so my opinion muight sway by tomorrow night.
