I had zero interest in the first Division after hearing all the problems it was looking to have on release date; never bought it... never played it. Putting it simply, the game was a mess. To Ubisoft's credit, they stuck with it and improved upon the design in practically every aspect. Division 2 is the fruit of that labor and it definitely shows. Arguably, Division 2 is the "final form" of the entire Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise: There is just so much damn content... and the game is more than "just a third person shooter". Indeed, half the battle is shooting, but there is also a very real element of strategy to the game: knowing how to position yourself and when to flank your target is just as important as shooting your target. There is honestly something here for everyone. "X-com in real time" is a great summary of what this game really is.... and it's better for it.
I've never been big on looter shooters, i get bored of loot grind games quickly like Warframe, Diablo, etc. I really wanted to love Anthem but it was too shallow in gameplay for my tastes even with the awesome outdoor spaces and flying mech suits (I'm still keeping an eye on it for improvements). But Division 2 is solid. Its great in solo and in teams
