How to apply to the Skjaldborg

All recruits will go through a brief “interview” process before acceptance into the unit.
Make sure you are familiar with the unit Code of Conduct before applying.

At the top of the forum page is the nav bar. You will notice there are several categories. Select "Skjaldborg Application".

-Select the position you are applying for within the Skjaldborg. At this time Member is the only option.

-Proceed, and fill out the application. When you are done, the tool will automatically create a new post in the application section.

-Check back on your application often, as the membership will have additional questions for you prior to their decision.
Note: At this time you can NOT create an application any other way. You must fill out the application using the tool provided.

After the prospective member fills out the application form, a new thread will be created with the information provided. Existing members and officers will read and review the application, asking the prospect questions in order to get to know them better. The application will remain open for 3 days, during which members will vote on whether to accept the application. As a general rule applicants will not be given access to our TeamSpeak server unless specifically requested by an officer to join us there.

Having a friend who is a current member will not guarantee that you will be accepted during the application process, quite the opposite in fact. Our members all went through the same application process and therefore we expect you as a friend to one of our members to answer with genuine interest and detail.

If the member is accepted into the unit, they will be promoted to Recruit. Recruits will be "probation" members and expected to begin interacting with the community. Recruits will be given access to our TS server and select forums to begin learning information and integrating into the community. During the probationary period the officers will continue to discuss the merits of the recruits and decide whether to extend full membership or not.
