Is anyone one going to play this?

Just wondering if anyone was actually excited or paying attention to this?

... Is anyone even following thier progress?

 

I'm signed up but rarely go to their site and get very few updates. The mechs look a little silly (IMO) as they look like the BT equivalent of Scooby-Doo Kids. Still I hope it will be a good game. I just don't have any time to give too it.

 

I am all over mechwarrior tactics, if I had the money, I'd have some packs bought (ok cant really do that yet, but still) I like the idea's put forward in that game, where pilots matter. TT version thats pritty, (better looking then megamech) make my jollies be happy.

 

I'll be playing as it's a browser based game so I can play it from any computer. Just not heard much about it lately even though I signed up a long time ago on their site.

 

It is in Beta testing by the way. They are a little stingy with the giving out of licenses from what I have read

 

Aye, same NDA type deal too so we can't really find out specifics either... probably for a looooong time.

 

I'm following it. I'll definitely give it a shot, not super excited about the 'collectable random card' part of it where what you can run is totally up to luck (as well as weapons having different stats based on manufacturer), but browser turn based mech tactical game sounds fun, even if super casual.

Yea its closed beta, haven't gotten a beta key, they're not giving out many yet.

 

I wonder if you will be able to use MWT as part of a campaign?

 

I will no doubt try this as it's free to play. I'm a little turned off by the Circus Clown™ Mech design and I'm a bit wary about the "booster pack" mechanic. Sounds too much like Magic: the Gathering™. But, I will not pass judgement until I actually try it. And as Bunny says, MegaMek with 3D and pertty 'splosions.

 

I think the mechs will look better when they're actually on an isometric 3d playing field and tiny, having them huge and zoomed in is not the format they're designed for.

I've been in Tactics for awhile now. I tend to alternate between tactics & MWO and MWO & Planetside.

 

Well, technically what Dihm said could just mean he wants to play when its out.

 

So to save Blackfire1's bacon.......He was saying that he only wanted to play it when Dihm has said that he is playing it hypothetically of course...there everybody is NDA compliant.

 

I have kept my eye on it, and will probably play it when it gets out of beta. No clue if I will put money in it or how long, but I will try it. Also, I do not like the look of the mechs. But definetly not a game killer.

 

I had some reservations about the art too, but it looks interesting, and I'll probably give it a try when it comes out.

Not much info coming through their forums yet, though, which is frustrating.

 

I think I was the second person to subscribe to the MWT Reddit! ... which is less impressive since there are currently only three of us...

I'll give it a try when I get the chance, could be a few fun hours if nothing more. At this point, if it's a mech game I'm probably interested.

 

if anybody is in the beta, they need to find out if they can get their unit a few beta keys. especally those of us who have been signed into the beta for a while.
