Have been trying for the past few days to get TS to work in the SoR server when in a game. When I enter a game, my push-to-talk button does not work and I cannot transmit. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, playing around with a lot of different settings, and have even looked on the TS forums to try and find an answer. I found a few different possible solutions and tried the suggested fixes but it doesn't seem to have worked. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out a way to get this to work? I only have this issue when in TS servers that require push-to-talk.
Yes, have tried a few different buttons for PTT. I've also made sure the the games I'm in do not have anything keybound to the button as well just in case.
I know that you said a game, but have you tried more than one? Also, have you had problems with it in general when running fullscreen programs?
Have you tried running TS as admin? Ventrilo gives me grief like that that if I don't run it as admin than my PTT button doesn't work when any other window is 'active'.
i can second that. Vent and Mumble does the same for me. So it might be affecting TS too. Speaking of that i really need to get on Ts and introduce my self.
I'm not sure if this has to do with the recent update for TS3 or not. When we used the NGNG TS server I used a combination of voice activation and mute button on my headphone mic to kill it when I wasn't talking. Just noticed that when I was trying to play a game, any game, while in the current SoR TS server that my PTT button isn't going through. I'll try tonight with launching TS as admin and see if that makes any difference or not. I do know through speaking with a few other people that they said they have had mixed results with PTT when in fullscreen games. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't.
TS MUST be run as Admin to function properly, that's most likely your issue. Make sure you go in to properties, advanced, and check the "Run as Administrator" so you don't have to right click it all the time.
