So I am trying to decide between the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826280014 (thrustmaster t flight stick x) or the Saitek x52 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826102507. If I go with the x52 and have the extra money I'd go with the pro version (basically just better construction). Thoughts?
I'm waiting to hear what sort of HOTAS support they are going to integrate into the game before upgrading my joystick.
Go with saitek pro version, if you want to play on high level you will want that throttle, tried that once and difference is big to say the least.
From what I've been reading on the hotas options out there the x52 pro is the way to go for a budget setup. The newer x65f has had some back and forth reviews of the force sensing in the joystick and heavy throttle tension so I'm not sure that I want to upgrade my ancient x36 (bought for mw3) to the top of the line saitek yet. I'm planning on going all out on it so that leaves the g940 and the thrustmaster warthog. Force feedback is something that kinda scares me might not be a good thing when trying to aim carefully in a running mech, after that the thrustmaster warthog seems the last option.
I've seen mixed reviews on the g940 but it looks awesome especially if you could set up the foot pedals for jj or maybe torso twisting. no idea how it will work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104327&Tpk=g940 But I think I'm going to go with the x52 (pro if I have the spare $30, concentrating more on getting a desktop that will need as few upgrades as possible, a monitor though that doesn't have to be some uber pricey one and wireless antenna so that already eats up most of whatever budget I have.)
