Tides of Torment comes out tomorrow btw, I played the beta, which was part of the first act (multiple hours worth). I liked it a lot, isometric RPG, very dialogue / story heavy, limited combat in the vein of planescape. From what I played I'd recommend it if you liked torment. Writing seems solid, world building is awesome.
This looks cool. I have a lot in my "queue" right now to play through, including a few RPGs, but I will probably buy this game literally for a single line in the story trailer, "And then you are born- falling from the sky."
I only booted the beta up about a month ago and played a few hours. Then I realized the beta saved was usable in the final version, so I just kept playing. sweet. I'm probably 3/4 of the way through the game now. Overall, based on what I've seen, speed / intellect builds will probably get you further than might, simply because most skill checks use those stat pools over might (although that does depend a bit on your skill set). I use a lot of persuade, deception, and grabbing things by being quick. Also, get ananmesia. It unlocks a ridiculous amount of puzzles in the game that I don't think have solution without it.
I'm still early but I'm trying to gauge how much replayability there is with alternative builds. I'm goin' Mystical Nano who Speaks with a Silver Tongue for my first run but I have a Wrathful Glaive in the wings, not sure at this point if it would be all that much of a change.
