Not sure if this has been posted in here before, I'm Wondering if we can get a few ppl up for this. Its a very good game with huge respawnable conquest maps, TDM and solaris arena. Many of the maps are inspired by the novels like the thunderift map. The game is set alot later then MWO and has Unseen mechs to boot!.

Played this a bit earlier, its certainly fun and different from mwo with the CA aspect. I'd be up for giving it a try again!

 

I'm going to try it out. Game seems to be in better shape than MWO is at the moment.

 

Just a quick tip for installing this.

Once you have installed crysis wars and patch it to 1.5 patch you then install MWLL launcher/updater. run the update and the game will start to download and patch itself. however this can be slow. so stop the auto update and go to this folder C:\Users\YOURPC\Documents\My Games\Crysis Wars\MWLL\Updates\MWLL_0.0.0-to-0.6.0 the update would of placed a torrant in here. run the torrant instead its a hell of alot faster then the autoupdater.

 

Last year we tried to get some people into it but there wasn't a lot of interest. It's also pretty resource hungry on some systems.

There's a detailed way on the MWO forums, although I'm not sure if it's still there, of being able to play MWLL on the Demo version of Crysis Warhead so you won't have to actually buy it. It only gives you access to one or two servers, but thats pretty much enough to see if you'd like the game. Some people won't because mech movement feels very, very off and you cannot change your loadouts in any given variant.

 

it has a its draw backs, and it way less system hungry then MWO. does not matter to much that i cant change my load out as there are plenty of choices for each veriant. it does not look as pretty as MWO but has so much more content. much bigger and better maps that allow for proper mech tactics. along with proper game modes.

As for mech movement, maybe you guys played it a long while ago ? does not feel any different to how MWO plays regarding that. Some Mech fans hate it as it does not follow TT, Its close to TT but the devs had the sence that following TT to the code does not work on a PC FPS mech/sim platform.

The best mech game would be MWO played on MWLL maps and game modes!!.

PS the devs are adding a mechlab to the game at some point.

 

They've been saying they're adding a mechlab for awhile now. I doubt it will be any time soon because most of their playerbase has probably gone to MWO.

 

Which sucks, because as of now MW:LL is much better then MWO.

Honestly, the only thing I think MWO has on MWLL, besides a mech lab, is the sense of movement and a better HUD.

Other than that, meh.

 

I just love those huge maps. You really need coordination if you want to take out objectives.

 

From the videos and my limited experience, MWO definitely feels better... when it gets the maps and gametypes it will be hands-down superior. Might have to give MW:LL a go though, haven't played for a while so maybe it's improved.

 

I only like it for the tanks.

 

Some of those tanks in MWLL are downright scary.

I used to love scaring the shit out of Light pilots though with my PPC equip Elemental.

 

Until mwo introduces hovercrafts and large maps i wont be satisfied.

 

I seriously doubt we'll see any large maps in MWO anytime soon. It's hard enough for them to make the current ones playable without mass FPS drops or memory leaks.

 

Nothing beats trying to find one shitty damaged raven on a huge map to try and finish him off.

 

Thats why you play capture the point.
