    Hello there ladies and gents.

    As you may have noticed, there have been some minor changes to the Discord server. One was just opening the sever up to Community, with adds some extra features, but the other was also adding a bot to discord. Right now it's the free version, so we have a minor taste of what we can add. What I'm looking for with this is feedback.

    First, do you even like the bot?
    Any suggestions for better channel division?
    Any features that you want added?
    Do you care?

    I kinda covered this on discord itself but:
    (and yes, i know some of these are premium type things)

    Adding more "content of interest" to the videos posted. Maybe WH40k content. Maybe some other things. This is an odd one that i feel should be done by a group of us, not necessarily admin. the videos added will kinda reflect on us as a whole so having a few people go though a creators videos and see if they are all legit and worth watching. It's cool if the guy has -a- cool video but do we need the Kpop gossip he does?

    Oop, didn't limit who could type in those channels, I'll do that now.
    Yeah, we can rename him however we want... with Premium. Same thing with adding new Youtube channesl to the bot. But I'll put this in a box for "Yes, get Premium"

    I agree with Moro, what about adding roles that you can subscribe to for different types of alerts? You could have a bunch of content that it is going to grab, like the videos it looks out now, but also if you are interested in 40k, Star Citizen, Battletech, other stuff?? That way people who are not interested in those things would not get the notifications, but those who are would. I am fairly certain it can do that.

    Also, what about adding a channel where it keeps up with Borg member's Twitch or Youtube uploads. I know Wolf has a twitch channel that is pretty active, maybe having a notification for everyone when they go live. That way folks in the borg get some love if they are trying to work on a new channel or content.

    I think there is more that can be done with the ME6 bot. One thing in particular would be to help Admin moderate Berserker ranks (which is a super pain in the ass to manage manually).

    And yes, the addition of "roles" that can be added to help us get better organized I think would be helpful.

    For the roles thing, it would be a thing that is not displayed on the side bar, except for if you click on an individual. And yeah, I could set it up so that it pings groups that people sign up for for videos and such. This poll is set to close on Sunday, so depending on how this all goes, I'd be making most of the changes at that point.

    We had some stuff around Clans (Go Huscarls:viking:), is there anything worth doing with the bot and tying to those clans?

    Most of the auto moderation stuff with Mee6 seems to be around more public community servers that give roles based on preferences or levels. Is there any intention to implement something like that?

    I also really think there should be something to show off content people in the Borg are doing, be it twitch, Youtube, art, music, whatever.

    Nothing comes to mind immediatly, unless we tied each Clan to a specific interest? Like Huscarls for SC, Pigs for Mechs, or something. But at that point I'd rather just completely individual roles that you could subscribe to for notifications of particular videos and the like.

    So that kinda ties into the roles based on preferences or levels. We're probably only going to use levels as activity tracker/Berserker status, if I can find a way to have them decline or something over time. Like if 1 month passes you loose a level, and thus drop out of Berserker status(if that can even be done, might be)

    And yeah, I have no issue with that. There is also a Twitch plugin for this, so should be easily done.

    We have a crowdfund page, we just haven't done much with it until now. The $100 donation I believe was intended to pay for the Avorion server when we had it running (I haven't forgotten, kudos to Damion), but the rest to my knowledge could be used for anything Skjaldborg community-related. Last I checked, we still intend to return to Avorion at a later date this year. Perhaps we can better organize the money so that it goes where donors want it too? Maybe have one jar for "community events" and one for "communications" (ie. forums, Discord). That being said, we could definitely do more with our Paypal account, certainly.
