Hi all, Two days ago I finished ordering all the components for my new gaming PC off Amazon, I should be able to build it with the help of a friend next week, so excited! But, I haven't yet ordered or gone out to shop for a keyboard and mouse. My question to you guys is this: it's probably cheaper to buy a keyboard and mouse off Amazon rather than going into town and buying them in a shop. However, I feel like I should go into town so that I can browse all the keyboards and mice and see which ones feel most comfortable, something I can't do online. Would you guys recommend spending a bit more money in town and getting hands-on with the keyboard and mouse so I know they're comfortable to use, or buying them online for less and going by looks alone to tell me if they'll be okay for me to use? Just for reference, my hands are slightly smaller than normal but I've never had any problems with keyboards or mice in the past, apart from the really really tiny mice, but they're not meant to be comfortable. Cheers, -Deathwatch
What sort of price range do you have? Is there any particular mouse or keyboard that you had in mind? Are you looking for gaming-quality gear, or just standard stuff? Here's a good thread discussing gaming mice:http://www.uobgaming.com/showthread.php?3092-Gaming-Mouse
Hi guys, I went ahead and went into town anyway to see what was there. I went into the computer shop intent on not spending much and getting a decent big mouse (I use palm grip most of the time, changing to claw when I need precision) with nothing fancy. I left the shop determined to get a mouse with some sort of support for the thumb, since I held a gaming mouse there and it felt like my hand was floating. I ended up compromising a bit and getting this off Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DHECXA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00 Along with this (didn't have a mousemat before): http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002RL9A2Y/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 So I should be quite happy with that, I'll update when I get it. As for the keyboard; I'm just going to go to a supermarket and get one for a few pounds that's not too clack-clack-clack loud. I don't need anything fancier than that. Thanks for the suggestion though, Jacob!
