so kokunin helped me build my new rig last week... however after 3 days it froze and came up with error codes... specs: ASROCK 990FX EXTREME9 ATX amd FX 9590 processor xfx R9 290x graphics card GSKILL F3-1866 16GB win 7 ultimate Has Dr. Debug... first code 5d = future code holder other codes= 00, 5e, 99 some thigns pop up as RAM issue others GPU... others the Processor... what everything is bad? also Kokunin and I redid the thermal past and reinstalled the cpu with clearing cmos other day... it worked for an hour and froze again... anyone have experience with any of the things above I appreciate your time. thanks.
Lots of niners on the various component names. It could be that your computer is too good. Error 5D: Problem related to memory. Please re-install the CPU and memory then clear CMOS. If the problem still exists, please install only one memory module or try using other memory modules. Check CPU pins. Motherboard could be defected. If it's motherboard, it's a pain if you only bought one setup because it's that much harder to test each component on the other rig. My 5 cents is that it could very well be motherboard. Lots of ASRock 9xx messages show up on search. Thought it could be something else. Additional parameters required: What happens when you boot up? Does CPU fan rotate? How do you get the various error codes? All at once in a serie or does it report different errors on different tryouts? (if so, it is more likely to be motherboard)
Yeah I would definitely try swapping one memory between memory modules. It seems there has been a pandemic of bad RAM lately.
i will test ram once i have ram to to test with it... also codes pop up after hitting reset, all fans seem operational when power is activated, screen black
ram switch out didnt work... kokunin and i just tried.... dunno about beeps... taking it to a professional...
tomorrow i am gonna attempt to trade out processors just to check... then commence the horrible so far attempt at getting ahold of ASROCK... ugh
