Not a Moba, no leveling. Its near identical to TF2 except more characters. Just because you have 5-6 people on a map playing coop doesn't mean its a MOBA. By that definition any FPS with teams was a MOBA.
It seems like "multiplayer online battle arena" would include any game that involves fighting in an enclosed area. It's one of the most generic things they could have called something.
Clearly Overwatch is a: fascinatingly unrealistic chinese-korean urban roadkill builder sans automobiles, cats, raccoons, or nice, yankee, mothers. Man, that's difficult to say quickly though. Someone else figure out what that acronym works out to be.

Overwatch is an arena shooter and i think it looks like fun. If you believe it will be repetitive then so be it. Some of us don't think that. Just look at CoD and CS as examples. Those are games that have had only minor changes over the years yet they are still some of the most played games out there.
Open beta begins next week and lasts until the 9th. Early access starts May 3rd and is open to everyone else on the 5th.

Open beta started for everyone today, and runs til the 9th. I've been doing quite a bit of playing myself, so just let me know if any of you want someone to play with on the America servers. Been having a blast, myself. At this point I've given nearly all the characters a pretty healthy run through, but I find that I don't have any any particular role that I like to stick to. I tend to fill holes in the composition more often than not, but that's a lot of fun for me. While I do fin myself favoring Tracer and Pharah more than others if I am left to my own choices, I am not at all disappointed if I find myself needing to play tank, support, or sniper.
I don't play bastion a ton except when I'm on defense and my team is just failing miserably at holding pushes. When I do though, I can reliably start piling piling up corpses at the doors. I also happened to get lucky enough to get his gearbot skin in a lootbox.
Ugh, I've only got so much time to put into so many different things... this looks pretty fun, though. And I've have enjoyed playing MOBAs in the past...
Well there's a bunch of new maps in the game now, thats good. The 3 or so they had were getting stale. Some of my favorites: Pharah - Great for harassment and picking off the backline snipers and support. Her missiles do good splash damage so even getting some fire in the enemies vicinity usually makes them panic. Widowmaker - too easy to snipe people in this game Tracer - fun Reinhardt - Good for pushing and defense. He has really no range, but doesn't need it. Hammer time. Gorilla Dude - Mobile, shields, harasses the backlines. EDIT: New favorite, Roadhog. Basically the butcher from Heroes of the Storm and Diablo 3. Big chain, pull and grab into its shotgun. Basically any smaller champ will auto die. And he's got a lot of health and a self heal, he just keeps going.
