Other than admitting that he has mechwarriors in his family and that he was born in the Periphery, very little is known about his childhood. Information on his immediate or extended family remains a guarded secret. Rumor has it that he might be covering up family ties to a minor bandit lord in an attempt to find more legitimate work as a professional mercenary. The earliest confirmed reports show that Sullivan began early into his teenage years working as an Astech for a smaller mercenary command. Although never mechanically inclined, he quickly distinguished himself as a capable loadermech pilot. Before his 17th birthday, he was already piloting Battlemechs tagged for maintenance and by his 19th birthday, he was participating in combat on a limited basis. Specifics cannot be determined, but the year 3035 holds some deeply personal and painful memories for him. There is some documentation showing he served with mercs fighting for the Davions during the War of '39, but he fell completely off the radar soon after that; possibly returning to the periphery for a time. He did not resurface for 7 years. In 3046, he returned a changed man... and not only did he own his own Mech (a refitted Javelin), but he had at his command a Seeker class Dropship, and a small combined-arms mercenary company! While comfortable in all weight classes and roles, Sullivan has always preferred Hunter-Killer Mechs. With a powerful enough arsenal to kill almost anything and the speed to outrun everything else, Sullivan uses his extensive tactical knowledge to out-maneuver and efficiently kill his prey. His current Mech, a heavily upgraded Shadow Hawk 2K, strongly reflects this combat style.

Scorching wreckages of transports and defense vehicles was strewn around, billowing smoke and the smell of battle high into the air. No, not battle, massacre. The lightly armed convoy hadn’t stood a chance when the raiders had hit. Just a couple of light mechs had been enough to destroy the protection the civilian transports had and now the sharp stink of charred flesh filled his nostrils while anger stirred in his heart. Refugees were common in these times and raiders swarmed around them like hyenas circling a dying animal. To see an attack this savage was uncommon however, but recently there had been several strikes like this around the Kavarel Mountains. “This has to stop...” the words were barely audible over the crackling fires. He had been hired to track down the raiders and give the location of their base of operations to the planetary defense force before the hired Merc Company, the Skjaldborg Commandos made planetfall. However, that quality only extends so far. He will just as soon crack someone's skull as he would a joke if given cause, and it is for that reason that many who know him prefer to keep him in good spirits. Her father was an accomplished doctor untill a bad lawsuite didn't go his way causing them to lose their family fortune. To make up for the loss of income Alexia's mother took on two jobs trying to substain them untill in 3038 she got into an accident dying at the scene. In about a year transitional period, Alexia's father was enlisted into an aid of a Mercenary unit as their doctor and she began her life as a mercenary brat. She learned about medicine and became a combat medic, unfortunatly seeing war at a young age during the War of 3039. They stayed with the Mercenary unit for some time. At about 15 she began to learn how to become a Mech pilot untill she she was near the age of 19. She and her father would join the Skjaldborg, Alexia keeping her distance from her father when she could, blaming him for the life she had to lead, even though occassionally assisting him as a sort of nurse/medic. She hardly ever goes by her lastname to avoid being associated to him, prefering a callsign/nickname of Lexi.

Malcom "Deadbeat" Gerrard Homeworld: Exeter - NAIS Cadet School Birthday: 7th May, 3024 Primary Skills Pilot (Mech) - 5 Gunnery (Mech) - 4 Secondary Skills Small Arms - 3 Tactics - 2 Negotiation - 2 Scrounge - 3 Abilities Natural Aptitude Background The Bastard son of a unnamed Mercenary Captain, Malcom was born on Robinson in 3024. His father was able to quietly secure his son a place in one of the up and coming AFFC military academies on Exeter where Malcom spent most of his upbringing. Malcom idealized the life of a Merc from a young age, dreaming of leaving the academy and finding and joining his father as a Merc. However as the years went on Malcom abandoned these dreams for a more practical life as a 2nd line Mechwarrior. After graduating the academy in 3042 he went into the service of the Draconis March militia for 3 years before returning to Exeter to serve as a Lance commander for the 1st NAIS Cadet Cadre. He soon developed a disdain for the Lyran officers that were increasingly finding their way into the academy and clashed on numerous occasions with them due to his uncertain lineage. In 3045 Malcom was involved in a incident in which, after having imbedded a few too many drinks he insulted and then accepted a challenge to duel a Lyran Captain who was on planet as an observer. Though the duel was halted by the timely intervention of his commanding officer, the incident ended any chances of transfer to a combat unit, let alone advancement. Malcom spent the next 2 years as a desk jockey for the unit he earned the nickname "Deadbeat Bastard" by his peers, a name which he later adopted as his callsign. Stripped of any cockpit privileges he simmered away until 3047 when he managed to smuggle himself and a stolen Wolfhound off planet. Staying one step ahead of his news of his theft, he served as a freelance Mechwarrior for several small merc commands before he eventually found himself inside the FRR....
