You can expect a sprinkle of PvP for the finale of this chapter in the campaign. This will likely not be the final form used in the Prometheus campaign, but you can expect it to be something similar. The idea is to give players a taste of things to come. EXAMPLE 1: Player A gets +2 in Scrounge Player B gets +5 in Scrounge Since Player B's was higher, they win the Scrounge skillcheck, but their roll is reduced to (5-2) = +3 EXAMPLE 2: Player A gets +2 Leadership Player B gets -2 Leadership Player A wins Leadership check and their roll is improved to (2 - [-2]) = +4 As you can see, players will lose a significant amount of the advantage they might be use to normally. Also, depending on how a player rolls, the odds could stack significantly against you. Retreat will not be an immediate option, but it will always be an option (after a certain amount of time has passed).
BV will be the same except where the Leadership roll comes into play. A good roll there might give you an advantage, but if your opponent also gets a good roll, they will cancel each other out. The idea behind this is to give a small chance of outcome variation between two otherwise equal parties. I'm still ironing out the kinks on this one though. I'm open to suggestions here. Worse case scenario, I might have to heavily simplify the lance event rolls table for PvP scenarios.
