TL;DR version of that: logistical skills are going to be very important if you want to command large groups of NPCs. That should make for an interesting balance factor... Oh, and renovation kits work now. Time to patch...
The drinking room/bar looks rather sharp, as does the drawing/scholar's room. The Elder gods ritual room is also pretty good. The Outer Gods and Great Old Ones ritual rooms are too much alike right now, IMO, and need different alter styles and the wall hangings added. The Map room was a bit underwhelming as well, somewhat short of content. I'm curious about the crypt, but not sure I'm five bucks worth of curious. Forgot to load in the spare bedroom last night, so I don't know how that looks. Unfortunately I can't seem to printscreen from Revival, so I can't show any of this to the rest of you. Maybe screencaps from FRAPS will work...
What, and do things the easy way?!?!?!?! Yeah, so anyway... where to start. First off, general updates: Spoiler: 16 Marrunton Lane The Entry Hall/Dining Room The Great Hall (aka where we're gonna spend lots of time shitfaced) My awesome Master Bedroom My bedroom has a cool painting of a viking longship And another painting of a spooky lady and a tapestry of people murdering each other But most importantly, this cool silver bust of Cthulhu positioned perfectly to gaze judgmentally upon everything I do in my big fancy four-post bed I thought this room was my front parlor, but maybe it's really the counting house where I employ Bob Cratchet and some other poors to help me cheat on my income taxes I also have this lovely painting of a guy beating horses while a monk masturbates furtively This painting which I have entitled "R'yleh at Sunset with the Melting Hands of the Dreaming Artist". It's sort of abstract. And this nice little painting of village by a crazy hobo on acid Notice how all the woodwork looks like thousands of fierce, lidless eyes watching you incessantly from the deeps. Or maybe pretty leaves and berries. Oh, and I have the head of the happiest dead pig ever. He lives in the dining room.
Next, specific room upgrade kits: Spoiler: Bar/Drinking Room This one is pretty straightforward, and it looks good. Even the dead pig on the wall approves. Spoiler: DrawingRoom/Scholar's Bundle This room also looks pretty sharp, and it has a lot going on; easel, writing desk, telescope... Unfortunately, some poltergeists appear to have stolen a bookcase or bureau and left some books floating in the air. Spoiler: Map Room Next up, the slightly disappointing map room It contains a globe, a couple simple chairs, a desk, a wrinkled carpet, the most empty bookcase ever... and about 75 cubic hectares of space for me to swing my cock in circles, because there's fuck-all else in here. Spoiler: Bedroom The bedroom kit is just that, and it's pretty swanky Though not as swanky as my bedroom, which is what really matters. Spoiler: Elder Gods Ritual Room This is a pretty good looking little shrine room It has a very nicely patterned floor It also has an icon of Hoen on the wall, who was apparently the god of stick figures and/or Sauron It also has a really cool alter with what I'm assuming is Nodens on it. Or maybe Cernunos or some other fucking hippy. Spoiler: Great Old Ones Ritual Room It's a Lovecraftian game so this is gonna be totally sweet, right? It's got some altars, and... uh... I think that's a chafing dish, to remind us that Cthulhu is going to east us all... Not sure what the little cage thing is for, maybe keeping a pet songbird or something? And some different floor tiles... except the big rosette in the middle is exactly the same as the Elder Gods room... Oh, but there's a skull on the wardrobe! And an icon of the Sacred Anus of Haedra on the wall, very important to have one of those. The Brown Eye of Haedra watches over us all... Also, this awesome E Pluribus Unum fucking Masonic glowing eyeball on the altar. I bet we won't see this anywhere else, ever... Spoiler: Outer God Ritual Room You can tell this is a classy place right off, by the nice green wallpaper and big fancy new age crystals. What's your sign, baby? Once again, different tiles, but same big rosette/throw rug in the middle of the room The crystals are very trippy and groovily hippy dippy. I hardly have the heart to mention that one of them is actually a nautical deck light prism... Also, I'm quite sure we've never ever seen this altar before, anywhere else. Ever. There's also this fancy censor lying in the middle of the floor, which looks like a tripping hazard. Or like some more furniture was stolen by ghosts.
Im still debating on what to make my two upgradable rooms because of the storefront. Both of which have a chimney and window, this also does not include the other room on the second floor, and the room on the 3rd floor. still cant believe I got the house, but its also in a some what of a shitty place. Still thinking of doing a clothes shop as it is the most profitable because people like to be stylish in mmorpgs as the clothes is what sets them apart. Would need partners in crime to really help make a name in the game. on the other hand I could do a restaurant/bar and make it the most "lively" place in town.
Restaurant/bar might be a waste of a storefront - do you really need one for that? Also, aren't you near the Stabb'd Face? Having both rooms with chimneys is a plus, since there's some crafting stuff (forges, for instance) that benefits from having that in a room. For now, I think a generic Craft Workshop sounds like it's the first thing you'd need, then maybe let it ride while you figure out more plans.
