Greetings. I'm new. Pleasure to meet you all. Those who haven't posted on my application thread already, anyway. :suspicion: I'm curious, in that I thought I'd see more MWO related banter. Is there a forum I'm missing? Are people actively playing/enjoying the game... or maybe waiting for the end of beta? Is there a way for us to play together, or is that coming with the factions and full roll-out? Thanks. Looking forward to seeing you in game!
Hi, Gadsden! Welcome. I'm sure someone with a better handle on unit goings-on will correct me if I'm wrong, but the impression I get is that SoR's active MWO-playing user base is in a slight slump. TS seems less busy to me now than when I joined in November. That being said, the slump is relative. We are an extremely active unit that fields tournament teams and holds company practices multiple times each week. Just take a look at our unit organization chart for an idea of how many players SoR has attracted. I suspect the reason you're seeing limited MWO-specific banter on the forums is not from lack of interest. Many players are balancing several games (you'll see conversations and TS channels dedicated to WarThunder, Star Citizen, World of Tanks, Starcraft among others). That and most things that can be said about MWO in its current state have already been said. You'll notice spikes of interest/MWO-related forums posts around patch days, which tells me that a good number of our vocal players are just waiting for more content to be reinvigorated. Most importantly in my mind, don't be discouraged. The unit represents a wide array of interests and opinions. If you want to post MOAR MWO STUFF, I doubt the guys in charge would care. Knock yourself out.
Ok, thank you for the replies. I'm not discouraged in the least. I thought there might be private forums... and I guess a lot of the tournamenting and such is going on there and on TS. Good to know. Thanks again.
As Buff said, majority of the forums are for members only. We are quite active in MWO even though some people have been playing other games lately. We are quite varied gaming community even if our main focus is MWO (and the coming Star Citizen).
