They said the passage of time in the game universe is 1:1 with the passage of time in the real world right? Does that mean I have to wait some 9 years, not that I'm opposed to the game lasting that long mind you, before I can have a bushie? Or have they said time would pass slightly faster somewhere and I missed it?
From what i understand, it will mostly pass at 1:1.... but i do suspect that once they get alot of features in and start running out of ideas theyll jump in time to give us some goodies.
I think as far as events and battles it will be 1:1 but they may advance a little bit for mech designs? I know the Bushy wasn't a viable unit until after techs got to study salvaged Vultures to figure out the engine/gyro/chassis packaging.
I can see that, or maybe some kind of prototype expansion pack dealio. I hope they can get through the licensing red-tape and bring us some of the unseen designs, too.
Well the 1:1 idea sounds pretty good as far as the Clan invasion goes... that gives PGI lots of time to roll out new goodies for us, which mimics a lot of the in-game canon. No doubt we'll be getting upgrade packs stamped with FWL logos as the invasion continues and the upgrades are rolled out. It also gives PGI lots of time to improve their servers, technology and so on until 'The Big One' on Tukayyid. What happens after that though is anyone's guess if PGI will keep the 1:1 idea going.
