Well besides from going to nursing school and being a partner for a private medical supply company and running a megamek campaign AND taking care of my 85 year old grandfather AND helping out with a non-profit organization.... I've also been dealing with the final legal hurdles for my now +500 dollar speeding ticket. Specifically, completing the most asinine "Advanced Driver's Improvement" online course. You want to know what is a waste of time? Take that class and enjoy getting asked limp-wristed pinko-commie questions like "how does speeding make you feel?" and "do you realize what you are costing society when you speed?". I've never hit shit and the only thing I FEEL is significantly less money in MY pocket! The class takes 12 hours (REQUIRED!) to complete but they only ever ask you about the same 6 questions just phrased about a hundred different ways. I think it could literally drive some people insane if they did it enough. Anyway, my court deadline is Monday. I thought if I finished by Friday I would be in the clear, but I just found out you don't get your results immediately. You have to wait 48 hours. Still.. I think I'm in the clear... just barely. I think this is appropriate: If I pull this off... Fuck Yeah indeed.
As I work for a municpality... If anyone gets in this situation, bring in a statement from your insurance company about your driving record and ask for probation in lieu of driving classes and a fine. Of course this works for thinks like 70 in a 60 on the highway and less for things like 70 through a school zone... The law is watching you, Magnus.
