The grind still sucks or has only gotten worse... especially at higher tiers - some people are drooling over the modern warfare vehicles, but do not be fooled: all the modern gadgets are hidden behind crippling grinds or abhorrent premium fees. Honestly, low tier is still best tier. Games just feel more balanced at lower tiers. There is a general consensus among Youtubers who have more experience in WT than any of us that the game is in a deathspiral where Gaijin seems more interested in adding new premium vehicles than actually fixing the existing content to be more fun. Again, all the more reason to just play low tier. TL-DR version - the game is still plenty of fun at low tiers, but I recommend spending zero money, because the most fun to be had is at the lower tiers and that is easy to reach without paying for it. The sad truth of the matter is that until another developer gives us a better alternative, sadly, WT is still the best game for what it does on the market. However, in its current state WT is not a game you should monetarily invest heavily into right now. Just know that the more you put in the less you are likely to get back in return. All that being said, here are some very good reasons to come back to it RIGHT NOW: At the end of the day, the game is free-to-play and its something we can all do together. By focusing on low tier vehicles, we will have a more consistent time making groups to play together. The Summer Landing Event is on right now and is available to everyone. By taking part you can unlock premium vehicles that will greatly improve your ability to unlock non-premium lower tier vehicles. The grind for the higher tier rewards sucks and is not recommended, but the first tier of vehicle rewards are still great and easy to reach! Read below to learn about them. VL Myrsky II, fighter, Sweden, rank II, premium (FREE EVENT REWARD!). This thing is an absolute powerhouse at its tier and I highly recommend everyone get. Reasons why: Four nose-mounted HMGs give excellent precision for getting consistent kills and a high ammo count means its a very reliable performer in all game modes. Lighter weight and more nimble than fighters that rely on cannons or wing-mounted weaponry. Flying vikings! Remind those dirty Soviets who rules the skies in the North! an excellent plane for grinding out the lower end of the Sweden airforce tree Ka-Chi (FREE EVENT REWARD!) Has a decent gun, lots of spaced armor, and is a rolling meme waiting to happen. Large crew number (makes it harder to knock out) Amphibious tank that can actually cross water; rare for Tier 1 (yes, really!) Modular pontoons can double as extra armor against lower caliber weapons RN Aviere (FREE EVENT REWARD!)
