First, some back story: until recently, I had my video card and my sound card in adjacent slots. The video card was in the most accessible PCIe 16x slot, and the sound card (an ASUS Xonar STX) was in the only PCIe 1x slot (since that's what it uses). However, I just got a new video card a few days ago. The old video card had only a single fan and it was not blocked by the sound card (well, only slightly blocked). The new video card however has two fans, one of which the sound card completely blocked and the other was mostly blocked. This was causing the video card to run very hot. So I decided to move the sound card to one of my open PCIe 16x slots. Everything I can find online says this should not be a problem (especially for this card). However, once I moved it I stopped getting sound. The card appears to be technically working, in that I can monitor levels, including input from my microphone. I'm just not getting any output. I have double and triple checked all the connections, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to no avail. At this point I don't even know what to try. Anyone got any ideas?

Nevermind, I fixed it. I had to change a setting in the card's software (for some reason in now has to be set to "Speakers" where before it had to be set to "Headphones").
