I'm writing a short story based on a character for the fun times / nonsense pathfinder game we've been talking about. The first draft of chapter one is pretty much done, so I'm uploading it here. I'm going to try to do a chapter or two a week until the story catches up to the start of the campaign. Feedback, constructive (and not constructive) criticism and comments are welcome. Its an alternate world created for Pathfinder games with some similar themes. The characters are completely different, even though a couple will share names.
Sanctified feces. Chapter 1 is now over twice as long as before, and comes out to almost 3000 words and 7 pages. I did not expect that. Things just kept growing and expanding until it hit the point I needed it to hit. I have no idea if future chapters will be that long. But I need to take a break before starting the next one. Probably on Wednesday or Thursday.
Do you want me to try and get ahold of a publisher for you? I'm sure there is a target market for this stuff... somewhere
I can't publish it. I'm working (loosely) in some else's universe. That's weird. Varg was able to look at it last night. I'll check that out when I get home tonight.
Problem should be solved. Dropbox forced users to generate new links because of some security problem they had recently. The new one should work.
Well, I was planning to cut this off at the point where the campaign starts. I'm not going to remember dialogue well enough between sessions to do your characters properly. Unless you don't mind if I just make shit up after the fact.
Chapter 2 underway and maybe half roughed out. ugh. I'm think I'm starting to channel Full Metal Alchemist.
Sorry for the long delay here. Chp 2 is being a bitch. Its mostly dialogue, and is turning into a transition to more exciting times. On a side note, I spent some time reading about the world of Everglow in the ponyfinder book today. Found out that humanoid races exist there. Might have change some details in my story... Anyway, shouldn't be more than a couple more days. I keep having to edit things.
Okay, chapter two is finally finished, with a basic proofread to boot. The link is in the first post. As always, comments are welcome. This one is pretty dialog heavy, so I'll try to work some more excitement into the next one.
I'm getting ready to start outlining chapter 4. Before I go much further, I wanted to see if anyone was actually reading this, or if people are enjoying it/hate it or what. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?
