I never understood why the Imperial forces exclusively used white for the armor. It sorta... stands out.
supposedly in the expanded universe they did start using camouflage after endor due to them losing to a bunch of ewoks. I think before endor they had so much manpower and fear factor the general idea among the imperials was that no one was foolish enough to attack them in the first place.
If I ran the empire? I wouldn't want just feat factor preventing attack, I'd want to be terrifying in a way that average people had a hard time spotting the troopers in the first place. If you can see them coming, you can more easily avoid them. If you can't.. well then.
They had the fear factor because nobody had the arms or the means to take them on, it was shown, that a bunch of ewoks, who know no fear, could take them on, so people without the arms who showed no fear, could take them on in droves, and all the sudden the tides turned,
So basically, what I'm getting, is that the Empire High Command was extremely lazy and cheap. Instead of arming their troops with the best in camouflage and weaponry, with the best training possible(which I know they did some of the best training anyways), they banked on the fear factor alone, then backed it by good training. I'd have just given them good ambush tactics and multiple ways of fighting wars. Plus, white gear would be so fucking hard to maintain in almost any environment. I also don't see why they couldn't have developed active camo.. I mean they have holograms, why not adapt that to a suit of armor and have it change depending on the background images?
Bu8lt in zoom. Because for built in zoom a visor has to be shaped like binoculars obviously. I think also had to do with that they had an insanely large thus everything was standardized as much as possible to keep costs down. I mean hundreds of millions of troops.
