And the weirdness continues. I've at least isolated what part of TS that's making in happen. If I don't talk, it's all fine. I can play all night. If I start talking, TS starts lagging out my audio services. So I can play with you, but I can't talk. Will see if I can do some weird stuff and talk through my nexus pad. Not a pretty solution, but what the hell.
I've found the error! Scroll lock! Yeah, that's right. Scroll lock! Had bound scroll lock to my third thumb button that I use for push to talk, and apparently something with my computer makes windows lock upp if I repeatedly press scroll lock. Confirmed on a fresh reboot, can kill the DPC service just by pressing scroll lock.
WOOT WOOT. BTW, that's the strangest set of disturbances I've ever seen happening because of Scroll lock. My recommendation for key binding? F10. F10 isn't used in much of anything, and if it is, at most, it'll bring down the small, unobtrusive File menu bar.
I have no idea what "scroll lock" even does. That's an interesting find. I'm glad you finally got it figured out, I am not sure that I would have caught that one in a million years.
scroll lock for IBM Keyboards makes arrow keys control scrolling, way back when it would also freeze text scrolling in a window like a pause button. Always check and make sure all indicator lights are out when having trouble with unresponsive keys or commands etc...they are num-lock,scroll-lock,cap-lock. these are all toggle keys.
I always use Caps lock as my push to talk button, sits in a nice place next to my movement/action keys..
