    Ok, I have redone the map, put in MCC and reduced the overall load of OpFOR. They are only on Large and high priority military and civilian targets. Same for BluFOR, I have decreased the numbers for BluFOR as well. The map seems to run better without all the extra stuff.

    Plus the missions from ALiVE are just not very good. The MCC missions are much better.

    We tested CSE last night, and I LOVE the medical system. It has a lot more depth then AGM, plus it has a feature that you can load people into a vehicle and work on them in the vehicle. Also, you can medical facilities that you can use an item that gives you a full heal.

    There are a couple problems with it though. One is the weapon resting is not as good as AGM. It is not as clear when your weapon is rested, and it does not stop the sway. This has been acknowledged by the developer and he said that it will be fixed in the next release. The other issue is you cannot use the full heal or saline/blood/plasma on yourself. That has to be administered by someone else. The good news is, you can set your supplies to be used by others, so you can still carry the supplies and someone else can do it for you. But it is a little irritating.

    Overall though, once they get the weapon resting sway issue fixed, I think CSE is an overall better system then AGM. There are some differences and some things that CSE does not have. Mainly the repair and explosives system. Then again CSE has some cool systems that AGM does not, not only is the medical system deeper, but there is also a civilian interaction system and the ability to arrest and move NPCs and players.

    BTW I am done with AGM. As soon as CSE has a fix for the weapon resting AGM is gone. I asked about the issue with Alive and the response was try it without alive... I told him I am sure it works on its own.. the issue is WITH it and alive. Then he told me that it worked at some point....

    So.. no, I am not going to put any more effort into AGM.

    I also made a post to the Alive guys to see if they can give me some advice on getting the map to run better.

    from a real world view (which I guess is what they are going for) putting an IV in yourself is probably not recommended. Game view it doesn't make sense. I feel like it should be a server/game option where one is how it works now (can't give the IVs to yourself) and one where you can give it to yourself. probably also the easiest "fix" for them.

    also CSE has plans for a logistics module at some point. and a food/water module. and enhanced engineering (which I would guess would have the vehicle repair thing? but maybe more indepth?)

    I played around some with CSE this morning on my own created server but could not get the medical menu to come up no matter what button I assigned it to. If you're going to be testing with it tonight I'll log on later and try to get it figured out. It's weird because we've used it in the past and I've had no issue with it.

    Ok. So I have a new map up. It is a non Alive, Domination map. So the mod loadout is the same as the current modpack, just without Alive. I do not think it will hurt anything to run alive, but it is not needed.

    I added another mod to the pack, the HUD mod for helicopters, this will allows to have someone in an attack helicopter sitting off about 2km away from the AO and we can call in fire with the laser designator. The mod allows you to see the LD target very easily.

    So with this the helicopters will support the troops on the ground while one person in the group lases and calls targets for the pilot.

    I have tested this by myself with a UAV Laser and with MH with a handheld LD.

    Do I take that as you want to be our designated gunship pilot?

    I am good with that if you do, as long as you are OK with being under the control of a JTAC on the ground.

    Blasting tanks from way off is fun, but the highlight of the evening came from engaging and destroying another helicopter with the canon, then strafing those technicals at base.

    Wouldn't give it up for anything. If we could get the repair/rearm to actually work, it would be perfect.

    New map seemed pretty cool for the short time I got to play on it. I'm pretty content to be a ground designator along with combat medic. Could have some great tactical uses in pre-engagement scenarios - let Haki clear out the big stuff then ground team moves in to clean up.
