The Division 2 General Discussion

Looks like you may need to unlock Grace Larson before being able to join a clan. You do so by completing 2 main story missions that benefit the Theater settlement. These are marked with a skill unlock (yellow triangle) next to the mission icon on the map.

The natural first two of thosr available are Washington Hotel and the TV station missions

 

Played a bit last night after all yall were asleep... good fun so far. Did the first theatre mission to save the girl with a rando group, then did a few open world spots unlocking resources, getting lots. what do you guys think are some good beginner skills? I have a fixer drone and a cluster seeker mine which both seem solid right now

 

One thing I read is to focus on the main story missions as they give a certain amount of XP that is good for leveling but do not scale. The side missions however scale and are better for later to get to 30.

 

The repair drone, seeker mine (explosive or cluster), revival Hive, and assault turret are all great beginning skills. If you like SMGs consider the shield that allows you to use certain primary weapons while it is out.

Do not waste a point on pulse early.

 

May have to try out the shield... I have this exotic shotgun I got from some pre-order / something that's pretty fun.

 

Might work really well with my fixer drone as well, its nigh invincibility mode with just it on, I'd imaging with a shield + shottie it'd mow things down...

 

I've been favoring assault rifle / marksman rifle for my two general carry primaries. I'm favoring the 650 rpm assault rifles and then the SRS and Model 700 marksman rifles.

I do like a few of the semi automatic rifles. The Socom and Mk17 are both pretty nice when I feel like it

 

The gun range is one of my favorite quality of life things in the game. It removes any question about what gun is better in your own hands. Even MMO's that revolve around DPS and TTK do not have this good of a system built into the game.

 

Made it to level 30 over the weekend. My favorite thing since then? A bus-sized Black Tusk quadracopter with a minigun that I had to shoot out of the sky while it strafed me from overhead. Wasn't even a mission; it spawned as a random world event. Think it was called "aerial recon"

I really like this game.

 

I'm at like level 15, I'm generally using an assault rifle with high RPM and the mod to increase clip size for reduced firing rate, which brings the firing rate to about average but gives me 60 shots in a clip. A FAMAS or some of the other military rifles are really nice in this setup and mow things down very quickly.

My secondary weapon varies depending on whats good in my inventory, I have a decent Model 700, LMGs, rifles, marksmen rifles with the scope detached so I can shoot faster...

 

I met one of those too! What is that faction? They look like little street ninjas. I see them around occasionally but they definitely aren't Hyena, Outcast, or True Sons

 

I want some more wildlife interactions. Like loot their corpses for food. Pack of dogs attacking you or other people at random. Maybe a hawk nest or something you can find for food but the mom keeps attacking your head and making you confused. Maybe an escaped circus bear? Too bad to the zoo is too far north..

 

By the way, am I the only one who didn't realize that after the initial skill point to unlock a skill you use SHD points to unlock the variants...? Cause I totally thought I needed more skill points and wasn't paying attention to the UI. Good thing I'm only like lvl 15
