    it feels like a TES game relative to other MMOs but it definitely is closer to a MMO in feel over a single-player TES experience. if you normally arent a fan of MMOs it might be tough to recommend, though the bits ESO takes from its single-player heritage are improvements to the genre imo. if you were intrigued by your time in the beta and are currently looking for something to play, i'd say go for it. it's improved significantly since then and the amount of content you get for $60 is pretty staggering compared to a normally priced single player game. if it didn't float your boat then for not feeling enough like the other TES games then pass on it for now and maybe wait for a steam sale or something to pick it up on the cheap

    my experience with it? wasn't worth the sub price per month but now that i don't have to pay i'll probably be playing fairly regularly. ive been a big TES fan and have become a MMO fan over the past 5-6 years so it works for me. they've made a ton of updates to ESO even since i stopped subbing last summer, most of my night last night was just figuring out the changes. i ended up just re-rolling a new character to learn them as i go before going back onto my "main." its pretty fun but it sounds like the veteran zones are still a bit grindy

    I might stay away then... MMO's are hard to hop into for me. I'm scared of commitment. Who knows though, I might get bored someday. This is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for though. I played the beta, and it felt more like an MMO then, I didn't know how the rest of the game felt. I might abstain from it for a while longer. Thanks though!

    haha, yeah the character building is pretty open-ended. some things naturally tend to work better than some others, but almost anything can work. i've tried to get back into the game a few times, might have to log in one of these nights this week! if anybody wants to be a vampire i can bite 1 player every 7 days so as long as you're ebonheart it's easy to do
