    alright here's hoping physics lab doesn't run late. Should grab the 7:00 shuttle back to the dorm. if I miss that I gotta grab the 8:00. it's a 30 min drive.

    Ok got with Magnus and he walked me through repair process so all VTOLs are rearmed and rearmored and ready to go hunting again.

    Ok folks we have been tasked with a search and rescue for Bluetavius who was shot down over the city. This is in addition to the normal mission we have for Thursday. So we can try and setup another time for all of us to make or try to run both Thursday. Whats yalls thoughts on the matter?

    Ok so sounds like Friday starting between 8-9pm EST would be doable for the Search and Resuce. Dont want to push it out to Saturday cause that might interfere with aerospace being able to run stuff this week. All in favor say aye...

    And I would have to buy myself some flowers first Orc cause I aint easy :p

    Recently, this interesting little VTOL caught my eye.

    It offers very flexible artillery support that wouldn't need much support. I know the Support Battalion is all set up, but in the future, picking up a lance of these things may not be a bad idea. Also, I know it’s not "cannon", but neither are our Harbingers, IIRC. It could be written in as a Succession Wars precursor to the Yellow Jacket.

    Food for thought.

    I've seen that before, I may be wrong here but I believe it has to be grounded before you can fire the artillery gun. Still it would make for an interesting "shoot n scoot" setup.

    my experience testing a VTOL with an arty piece is than I had to land to fire.

    Magnus built one based off the Karnov a ways back that carries a Thumper. So its already in there and usable if you are so inclined. Cool idea but not sure how much better it would be over the normal arty since you can fire from off map and dont have to worry about being attacked. The better world map movement range would allow them a wider area of operations though so hmm maybe an idea.


    Taake is Friday at 9pm EST good for you schedule wise to do the SaR mission?

    Skwi and Sheo are right. That was a failed project to recreate the AC-130. Turns out the Karnov would still have to land first to fire its gun. It was also limited to only being able to use the smallest artillery. Still... it definitely put the MOBILE back in mobile artillery. :p

    I haven't revisted the design in awhile, but it is possible it could instead be fitted with the "Cannon" versions of artillery, although range suffers substantially... which sort of negates the whole point of the design.

    Ultimately, it is cargo space that limits our options. If I had to pick, the Transport Karnovs take priority over artillery versions. They can rapid transport anything anywhere... even ground artillery :)
