    SSDs are extremely awesome, now if you are looking at a new rig and you have to spend... you may want to check out falcon-northwest their rigs are mindblowing and put alienware's rigs to shame. If you are looking at simply upgrading your rig, I would recommend starting with a motherboard and a CPU and going up from there, when you do upgrade to a i7 you will notice less machine lag that way. Also, consider going to a liquid cooled cooling system. What causes alot of machine lag is as your system gets hotter your performance degrades so going liquid cooled will stop that almost entirely

    I've got the parts, I'll have to think about the liquid cooler.

    For now, I've got a CPU fan, two fans and an oversized heatsink on the GPU, two assist fans built into the mobo, and 5 120mm case fans, so... well...

    I regret not getting the SSD right away and mounting my OEM OS to it instead of my HDD, but lesson learned :disturbed:
