Not only is this important in the matches, but we need info about other units we'll be up against. Somebody needs to watch other groups' forum posts and maybe scoop their unit pages to see how involved they are and what they're up to. That way if we see an opposing unit come up on a contract offer we have a better idea what we're up against. Ah, espionage.:joyous:
LOL! I like it, as long as we aren't getting really shady and having people apply to other units to get to their protected forums.
This is going to get nasty... That said, I've been scoping around already (mostly on mwomercs.com) mainly looking for folks I know, and I've come across some potentially good intel. Besides everyone having a forum outside the mwomercs.com, there is an inordinate number of Davion/Steiner ATLAS fanboys and their cousins. I get the impression if we go up against FedCom, it's 100-tonners all the way up that hill. Not that I mind - fighting assaultmechs is like peeling an orange without a knife: hard work, but it's so much sweeter when you're done.
I think I will enjoy peeling apart those assault class mechs with hit and run tactics ;D They just need to get some faster medium class mechs, the hunchback and centurion are kinda slow
Looks like a thread has been resurrected. Well Watchit it's good to have some more recon guys, always need a nice variety. I think its pretty cool that with so many of us we all have a pretty even split of what we would like to do personally. Makes it pretty convenient for the sake of organization. Anyways, I know that Steelbear is looking for some recon guys to join his lance in the Huscarls. If you do decide firmly take a look at this thread: http://www.uobgaming.com/showthread.php?591-Skjaldborg-Organizational-Structure . The first post has a google doc that was last updated a week or so ago. It lists the most recent update of the roster and who is in what unit/lance. You can go ahead and place yourself in your desired lance/unit by editing your profile. Towards the bottom there will be a couple of drop down fields for it now that you're a member
It should be noted, if there is a role you'd like to be, but there isn't "room" in the company, do not fret. Sign up for the role you prefer to play, and we'll deal with the logistics at a higher level.
I don't know what exactly I'm gonna focus on quite yet, too early to tell. Though I do expect to try be successful at least two "roles", it's always nice to have a back up plan. Anyway I can't wait till we learn more about the 3 "role" trees and how easy it will be to combine aspects of each to suit everyone's style of play
