On one hand, I'm excited for the new setting. On the other hand, I'm concerned this will pull more from Romance of the Three Kingdoms than history. Even so,
If you are worried about how much it will take from history or if it will pull more from Romance of The Three Kingdoms, here is your answer.
It's now avaible for pre-purchase. If you do that you get the "Yellow Turban Rebellion" DLC. Release is for now on the 7th March
As much as I want to play this, I'm worried I'm reaching a saturation point with the Total War series. I've barely played Britannia and I was super excited for that too. Also, isn't Mount & Blade Bannerlord coming out sooner than later? Not exactly the same genre, I know, but the latter is certain to suck up a lot of my time. EDIT: still no release date for Bannerlord yet
I played very little of Britannia but I never expected to play much of it as the setting isnt very interesting for me. However it's the opposite for this game as this is one of the settings I enjoy the most so I'm sure I will play a lot of it.
My internet has been down (currently using my phone) so I tried Britannia again. Oh man... what a train wreck. I forgot how bad that game was. Between it and the first Warhammer game, I am becoming increasingly wary of future TW games. I have yet to genuinely enjoy one since Shogun 2. I think I'm sitting Three Kingdoms out until I can get some solid post-release reviews on it.
I'm really starting to look forward to this. The gameplay they have shown us looks good with what looks like good improvements. I'm definetly picking this up.
TLDR: Release is delayed until the 23rd of May. It's a bit disappointing but I think it's the better choice in the long run. The game clearly have issues from what we have seen and I hope this gives them the time they need to fix them.
