They will probably leave Bretonnia as a minor faction similar to some of the ones in Attila/Rome 2. As for elves, my guess is that we will see Skaven before elves, with a pseudo "underground" expansion, and then a "new world" expansion with Dark Elves/High elves/Lizardmen
The important bit from that video. I would imagine that Bretonnia will be one of the first DLC to arrive. Even more so after seeing this.
Why would we , as the Skaldborg, need any DLC ?..... Hochland (Hooch is alcohol ) is already present... we can get as drunk as we want while fighting... two of the Borgs favorite pastimes rolled into one place.
If you play it straight, the Nordland seems like the obvious choice; they even have what looks like a viking ship in their coat of arms... but to each his own. EDIT - I know next to nothing about Warhammer... upon further reading, the Skaelings further north are closer to the viking sort. The Nordland seem to be more like Denmark... then again, the thought of fantasy Denmark conquering the known world amuses me.
just had a thought, could the bottom 7 factions be separate because they are all expected to fall to Skaven/Chaos?
maybe there will be some kind of dark side/ light side mechanic so that technically, any faction could fall to Skaven/Chaos, but some are more predisposed than others.
Well long story short most of those factions are quite minor (save for chaos who will probably operate more akin to the Huns in the most recent Total War game) Tilea and Estalia are quite powerful city states whose real world Equivalents would be Portugal/Venice. While not being able to necessarily stand up to the Empire in raw terms they have maintained their independence through alliances with the Bretonnian lords and border princes.... This combination has served as a check against Imperial expansion southward, and generally these nations swayed between neutrality with ample trade to outward hostility. I think that these factions were included to help flesh out more area, I think we are more likely to see expanded maps then outright destruction of factions.
Dev's did a Vampire Counts twitchstream tonight. I watched through it. Seems pretty nifty, but I think I'll probably favor the dwarves myself.
