From russian pre-patchnotes - you will get one of those for free, depends on the nation you will fly your first battle with. So, if nothing will change, be aware of that before your first flight. I still pay this game sometimes and if you like here is some advise I had to learn the hard way... for every country make a new account. you get golden eagles for the tutorials and sometimes for events. spent them on your crew and only on your crew. if you like bombers and heavy fighters make sure to train the gunners with golden eagles. it really helps . You can get expert lvl on your planes which gives you +30 on gunner and perception skill which helps allot. just get your crew up on the planes and buy the expert. you will be happy. I like tier 1-5 the best. after that the game gets a bit unbalanced it seems. tier one is fun for casual gaming and the tiers up to 5 are a opening more specialized planes for you but as per my experience after that the game gets unfair due to certain countries getting rockets and cannons more often and easy on its planes than others. i.e german airforce is getting quite boring after that tiers while Russian, american and Brits get it all. p.s Germans seem to never ever get any torpedoes thus water maps are a bit harder for them consider this if you want to go for them.
Still, from what I searched around, several german planes should have torpedoes as optional loadout. Hopefully they are added. Somewhat agree with Trikx. German lacks variety that British, US and Soviet trees have. It's pretty much 109/190 for a fighter, 410s for heavies and 110s for bombers. I don't personally mind as I love those planes. 410 "Hornisse" has special place in my heart. So many butthurt bombers it has eaten.
I had my best game in historical the other day. Flying a B25, I'm just approaching the enemy artillery/AA sites and unload my bombs, taking out probably 7-8 targets. Then my phone rings. I run up, go grab it from the other room and have a quick convo (had pointed my plane up and away from the enemy). When I get back, my plane is mostly red. I guess someone took some shots at me, but nobody was near me. I turn back, take out 1-2 more targets until someone shoots me down. I check the scoreboard, I have a plane kill. I guess my gunner took someone out while I was on the phone. Near 20k in exp and lions.
I love higher level gunners. I think the the bf 110 will get torps (not certain so don't quote me) and i think some of the ME (heavy fighters?) can carry torps.
I've got a bit on account with them still I'll see what it takes when I finish patching in about 45min
Squadron creation is temporarily disabled until they've registered every pre application on the forums. Apparently it will cost 2500 eagles to create a squadron. If you can't do it MH I can step in
Can we contribute some eagles to it? It seems like something like that should not be put on one individual.
If possible to group contribute, i can throw in the golden lions i have on the acct now, which is around 200ish. I agree we should definitely split the cost
