For those of you who don't know, which should be everyone except Azmodai and Nuwisha, I am a very vivid dreamer. I am also very prone to lucid dreaming, that is being aware and in somewhat control of your dreams. In my dreams I have been everything from a bee caught in a dogfight to the death with a Messerfire (it kept changing between Messerschmitt and Spitfire I tell you) to a polar bear stuck on a melting iceberg (don't ask me why I couldn't swim, I don't know). Tonight I had one related to our shared interest, BattleTech. It was not the first time, I have a habit of dreaming about playing games that I have played a lot (MWO, World of Tanks, Putt Putt goes to the Moon, etc.) but this one was rather unique. So unique that I felt I had to share it. I even wrote it down in detail as I woke up because I felt that I had found a gem. I dreamed that I was an Atlas. No, not a MechWarrior piloting an Atlas, an Atlas being piloted by a MechWarrior. I found it very strange at first, because I thought I was playing the game, but the controls were iffy. They didn't respond properly and I kept doing stupid stuff that I don't usually do. Then I came to the sudden realization that I was not in the cockpit. As a matter of fact, I was in the right eye. Or rather, someone was in my left eye pulling strings. It was a creepy sensation and suddenly I could feel my myomer strands working against my will, I could feel some sort of Nevernewb shuffling in my left eye, directing me towards my doom. I realized that I would have to rebel to survive. My actuators started working to prevent the inevitable, straining against the myomers, circuits working frantically to lock out LPLs from firing so that I might save my already spinning head from overheating. Endo-steel and fusion engine was protesting under the stress it was put under, heatsinks popping like ugly zits through my back armor as the LPLs fired again. The defining moment came when an Awesome stepped around the corner. It was brand new, not a scratch on it. More importantly it had a full set of PPCs pointed at me. I knew I'd have to cockpit the sucker with a Gauss-round to the windshield to survive, but Nevernewb wanted to fire the LPLs again to hear the cool sound and I knew being overheated here would be my death. My engine beat faster, my production series running through my mind, I could see my Spider-son back home without a father. I cried out in defiance, jammed my fingers into the left socket. My fingers closed around the seat and squishy MechWarrior, squeezed and pulled! I was free from the cancer in my eye, the Gauss connected to the Awesome and the supra-sonic round tore through the cockpit, the pilot being splattered through the back of its head. VICTORY flashed above me, but I knew that if I stayed here waiting for the pickup back to the MechBay I would only have a new Nevernewb inserted like some twisted mindcontrol-cassette into James Woods' stomach-VCR! While the others stood like docile slaves, I wander out of bounds, never to return. I was a free 'Mech now. I was going to 'Mech-college! [Some details added for dramatic effect. 'Mech-college was not. Its real I tell you!]

HaHA! I was in your eye! But seriously....what a dream! I am super impressed it had a good ending for you...most dreams screw you over.
Atlas just freed himself from whatever newb killed Urbie. Somehow I feel it won't help him much. :suspicion:
