Indeed, saw flesh playing it, bought it, didn't regret it in the least. Quick engine and lovely game play.
Pulled it down. Only issue I have with it is the turn limits. Plays more like a puzzle game than a stratigic sim.
perty much what it is, been playing it the last couple days, fairly good analog for it too, though I don't believe it's a completely accurate translation, I seem to recall IG being quite squishy and orks far more resilient, but then, I usually played Chaos and had special units for dealing with light armored vehicles. (blastmasters at the time were surprisingly effective at both killing soldiers and killing all but the heaviest armored vehicles)
Actually doesn't look too bad, the amount of units is staggering! Reminds me of the old Panzer General games. Might we finally have... a decent 40k game that isn't DoW!?
My only issue seems to be it still is early access right? I want it badly because I loved the old PG games and I like warhammer and its 25% now, but I heard its pretty rough around the edges. My question for everyone who has it; if they never updated the game again would it be worth it ?
it cost $20 and I've played about 7 hours, that's less than $3 an hour, if I never play it again (which I most likely will) it still hasn't cost me more than phone sex, yeah, I'd say it's a good bargain.
