Warhammer 40k RPG - Rogue Trader

I'll write up a background story for my character sometime, I most likely won't be able to make a game until July at this point, just assume he's doing normal human telegraph things in the meanwhile. If he's there already. Though I suppose if the existing human telegraph gets offed the captain is going to be rather desperate to hire a new one... even one like mine

Boro, was born on Kroot homeworld. From birth he expressed incredible affinity towards sneaking up on prey, even in tribe focusing their evolution. Thanks to his skills he was quickly hired as a mercenary by Tau. For several years everything was going smoothly, until one supposedly simple extraction took wrong turn, most of the team got wiped out with only few managing to escape. Boro wasn't as lucky as he was left stranded on an alien world. Luckily some time later he had a run in with a particularly tolerant rogue trader which hired him as a mercenary.

Gaming should be peachy for tomorrow, but my wife is still not feeling well. If something crops up, I will holler.

I am expecting to be around at noon east, or slightly later. Gaming at 2 east unless previously mentioned.

Well Iv got a round of fantasy flight's Horus heresy this aft so Ill get my fix.

Will hang out on TS for a bit either way.

 

Kalvius Valance walks down the halls, his figure covered in elaborate silk robes that are adorned with symbols of the Navis Nobile. The robe covers the whole of his body with only his eyes visible, even his hands are covered by gloves as you see them grip a metal staff he uses to walk down the hall. As he is walking he suddenly stops, looking to the right at what seems to be a bulkhead separating the ship from the warp but what he sees is far different. Feeling the warp so close reminds him of the past, his once powerful house weakened and hunted down by fools who could not understand how we can not only survive but thrive in this universe that is beset by perils everyday. Then again that was always the job of the Navigator Houses but even they have been too caught up in their own blind fear of the unknown. The answer of today is not the same as tomorrow and as such his house was hunted down for years because they sought these answers. "Has it costs too much?" As he reaches a hand up to run down his chin before smirking "They will understand one day and my house will be raised back to the levels of power it deserves, removing the old and weak families that still hold the heights of power". Noticing he is talking out loud he considers looking around to sees if anyone heard it but decides it is of no concern. He has seen and faced more in his short life then many have or will ever seen. It is not that they are unable but it is his calling, his birthright, by his will and power that he has decided to face these monsters of the night and finds himself victorious. Reaching out a gloved hand he runs it across the bulkhead, considering once more opening his third eye, to see the arctic wounder that is the warp. Snow always drifts down slowly there, attempting to blind those that are not prepared but with practice, you follow the light, the warmth that is given off by people as well as the beacon by the Emperor, emitting like the lights from a large city nestled in the arctic wasteland. Another moment pasts as he gives a shrug, letting his hand drop back to his side as he walks back through the halls. "There will be time for that later, and much more".

I appreciate the short stories and character bios.

I have been resting most the day, but still have a headache. Wife still coughs but is doing well. Anyone still need to corner me about their character?

 

By the way, I have drill weekend coming up so I wont be able to make sunday.

 

This coming Sunday, June 8th is that once a month complication, MWO CCO meeting.

That said, I really appreciate everyone's understanding. With my wife recovering, things are looking up, but exhaustion and a few minor things have sidelined me for the last little bit.

Hoping to see everyone on June 15th, er, that's Father's Day. June 22nd?

So, I'm done with school and start working this summer. It entails working 2 weekends every month, so I was terrible afraid that the schedule would block me from playing rogue trader. I was, however, pleasantly surprised to see that all my Sunday evenings are free! So there shall be space, heresy and trade! In 3 weeks.

 

We will get this going at some point!

 

What archetypes do we have so far? I was talking with Demon about my concept when I realized we already have an Arch-Militant and a Void Master.

What else do we have covered? I'm still finalizing, and pretty much love all the roles, so I don't mind filling what we're missing
