http://store.steampowered.com/app/235540/ Warhammer Fantasy Coop gameplay with hordemode and internet teamwork? Yes Please! Considering TB rarely does beta looks and seems excited about how this game is now, makes me pretty hopeful. I really do like this kind of game and it matches our community well. Edit: Added some videos, enjoy. Official Videos: Vermintide Game Overview Vermintide Release Trailer (It feels like this video seems)
I was kind of surprised that this looks decent. Thought it was going pretty cheesy when I first heard about it.
Pretty much. Seems like the team has been very enthusiastic and serious about it though, so I'm definitely keeping eye on this one. If this does well, and people like it, there's possibility that my and Biscuits dream of WH40K version of this goodness happens. Also, Jesper Kyd. If I have to explain who that is I'll call Agent 47 on your ass.
Oh, he only did the music for Ubisoft for some decade or so. Did the first three or four games of Assassin's Creed, most of Hitman, and some of Splinter Cell. He's very, very good.
So I started playing the early access today. I personally found it very compelling. The class limit is at 5 currently. Each class has a wide selection of primary and secondary weapons and only a couple of hours in I can select what weapons and styles I want to play. The loot system gives many levels of progression, and this with the difficulty setting will give the game its long life. Full disclosure, I have only played on normal with pugs. The 2 much harder difficulties give better rewards but you also have fun things such as friendly fire, which I am not ready for. It also seems like some people on the steam forum complain of only losing. So far I am like 6/7 or something win/total. The beta has full class access but only 3 of the final 13 maps. I look forward to those. It also seems to be pretty rig intensive when a lot of stuff is going on, though lowering the setting should help. But yeah overall I am already enjoying it.
I have put like 25 hours into the pre-release beta and wow, I am really loving this game. Hard as nails, fun, random, and generally fun. With pugs is good, and friends is even better. Check the OP for some new videos.
Played beta, they really need to adjust difficulty levels, easy is way to easy while normal is a bit too hard. Combat feels extremely samey, I know its hard to be creative with hordes but some combos based on timing of mouse presses would be nice. Aside from that if you enjoyed L4D you most likely will enjoy vermintide as well.
