I like things that go boom. I have used Castanas extensively, but have no real experience with the Angstrum. Would anyone like to compare and contrst these two weapons? My "hypothetical" Angstrum build: http://warframe-builder.com/Seconda...5-11-263-7-204-7-193-6-206-6-205-9/en/3-0-45/ My "hypothetical" Castanas build: http://warframe-builder.com/Seconda...5-11-263-7-204-7-193-6-206-6-205-5/en/3-0-40/ The Angstrum clearly wins as the better damage dealer (x3 more!), but the Castanas offer a bit more control and utility; they are twice as accurate (even with Magnum Force), have twice the fire rate, and half the reload time... you also have complete control of when the explosions trigger (ex. you can stick them to allies, explode them mid-air,etc). From what I've seen, the Angstrum seems to be more effective (ie. less suicidal) when used at safe distances, while the Castanas are a bit more forgiving (to a point) at shorter ranges. So what do you guys think?
I use Angstrum sometimes if my main is some precision weapon that lacks CC. See mob group, pull out Angstrum, full charge, all dead, switch back to precision weapon.
Can totally vouche for this. I've been playing more with the Angstrum and it has definitely grown on me. It has replaced my Penta as my new favorite weapon to use with my Vauban's trapper abilities for high level Defense missions.
