Not what I've been listening to a lot lately, but just felt like tossing this out because it feels like one of those nights.
I haven't read the book (yet) but I really liked the movie. And I simply love what they did with the chronology. When you start to understand what actually is happening (almost wanted to play around with the tense of that word, but no spoilers) towards the end, it feels genuinely formidable. And makes listening people saying "I don't get it" even more entertaining...
Putting this one in spoiler for obvious reasons. Spoiler Valid point, but there's couple valid explanations for it. My guess is that it didn't "click" to him before it was too late. He wasn't specialized in languages like Louise, and thus couldn't figure out the syntax and how it affects one's perception of time, 'cause he couldn't look past the system we are so accustomed to. Also, the classis "main character is special" trope.
