What programs do you guys use to take a screenshot? I'd like to have one, but the one I had seemed to slow the game down. What do you guys recommend?
Oh man, why couldn't that have worked when I tried to print screen the 6 kills I got one time? I've been using FRAPS ever since that disaster. Just the free version of it though. I get some pretty bad skipping when I activate the video recorder though, so I've only been using it for screen capping. Guess I can switch back to Print.
For those that don't know the regular print screen method. Hit the print screen key when you want to record the screen. Only hit it once as it just saves the last one taken. After the match open MS Paint. From the file menu select new. Right click the blank page and paste the image you saved there. When you get it like you want it select save as from the file menu and save it as a jpg file or whatever you prefer. It'll be in your my pictures folder unless you direct it otherwise. I think the in game printscreen function will save a new image every time you hit it but not sure as I havn't used it yet.
For MWO, Print Screen works slightly differently. When you hit the button, it auto saves to the game directory folder, under the "USER". Inside that folder is a Screenshot one, in which all print screens you took during a match will show up.
i use a version of FRAPS i borrowed from my friend the internet. I always forget to set it to auto-launch and i sometimes forget to turn it on. I have been primary using it to get caps of EoM screens.
I'm using Open Source Broadcaster (http://obsproject.com/) for streaming via twitch.tv. I don't know if you can take screenshots with it, but I haven't experienced any issues with it. You can also edit the broadcasts with twitch to share with whomever you like.
I had 8 in my beloved 4G once. At the end of the match I smashed wrong screenshot button... There was one of our peeps in that match on opposing team though, but still...
I often hold alt+print screen (since I have two monitors, alt+print screen captures the screen of the current active window only, then I paste into paint, and save
