    FOR LANCE LEADERS ONLY!!

    Almost all repairs have been done. Xander's Hunchback is finally getting its arm reattached and Haki's fighter is getting fixed (both will take some time though). We should probably get maitenance of the unit a bit more structured. I propose a list of priorities and steps taken when doing repairs:

    Rules for repairs:
    -Repairs are done ONLY by lance leaders or those approved by lance leaders.
    -Repairs should be done only to the mechs you control (your lance in most cases)
    -Get permission before attempting repairs on other lances either from the controlling lance leader or if they can't be reached, the company CO/XO.
    -Be very careful when making repairs: it is easy to make clerical mistakes. Pay attention and take your time. Ask for help if you need it.
    -Failing to repair an item makes the next attempt more difficult; DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIRS WHEN THERE IS A HIGH CHANCE OF FAILURE.
    -Lance leaders may request repairs from others when faced with difficult repairs.
    -The "Acquisition of Parts" action can only be used when the campaign setting is appropriate for ordering parts (Admin will let you know).
    -Do NOT "Advance Day" until all lances have had a chance to make repairs.
    -Do NOT save over existing files; this is to minimize loss of data or simplify clerical errors
    -Only one Lance can make repairs at any one time. This is so necessary so that the campaign can be updated and then uploaded to dropbox (as a new file, remember!)
    -Save your changes by making a new campaign file; format is "campaignname##" followed by a letter in order of whatever the last one was. "##" corrisponds to whatever the last mission was. Example:

    partycrasher01a, partycrasher01b, partycrasher01c for saves post-mission 01.
    partycrasher02a, partycrasher02b, etc. for saves post-mission 02.


    Sequence of repairs:
    1) After mission, lance leaders write debriefing reports.
    2) Any remaining repair time available for the day may be used.
    3) Requests may be made for assistance on repairs.
    4) Supply shipment orders may be placed if available.
    5) Company CO or XO advances day by 1
    6) Lance leaders may continue work until all repair times have been exhausted
    7) Company CO or XO advances day by 1

    rinse, repeat

    Since I have been roped into being one of these lance leader people I need some lessons on well pretty much all of the above. I have dabbled with MechHQ looking at everything but dont feel confident enough in what I am doing to actually do any of it and save it to Dropbox. Soooo anyone willing to go over it with me be much abliged.

    In regards to all repairs, make sure you use "Transport Bay" location. We are in hostile territory. Repairs can only be done in our dropship. Remember we will not be "Advancing Day" until after mission 11.

    Gamma and Delta need to do more repairs still. Day has been advanced. Maintenance Facility level repairs available. Time is not really an issue if you need to advance the day by 3-5 days yourself to finish the job. Remember to try to let all lances get repair orders in before advancing the day is most important. Current contract ends on July 17th, 3036 (roughly 2 weeks i think).

    Zechs (our elite mechanic) has "retired". Monique (Alpha's mechanic) just recently gained elite status though. Feel free to use her if you need to. Remember also that if you wish to use your individual tech skills, you will need to change your primary job from mechwarrior to tech and advance the day by 1. Otherwise your work time will not replenish. Be sure to change it back when finished (for organization purposes).

    Yeah, sorry, I should have just left the Mongoose, but since I was advancing the days... didn't want it sitting idle?

    I know, I'm a dick. :sad:

    Tell you what, let me go back and correct that lapse in judgement, won't take more than a few minutes.

    Edit: Okay done, I think we ended up finishing the same day (July 5th) anyway, since I did rush jobs and the like on the easy stuff.

    LAST CALL FOR BETA LANCE TO GET THEIR REFIT STARTED BEFORE I ADVANCE THE DAY.

    Also, ALL Lances needs to update their financials please. Be sure to include all refit work time so far. Max refit time per lance will be a total of 120,000 minutes (or 30,000 per mech).
