I downloaded and installed WoT, but when I click play in the launcher, it closes and then WorldOfTanks.exe doesn't do anything (just sits in the processes list in the task manager). I tried reinstalling but it still does the same thing. I added it to my firewall exception list. Any ideas?
I had this exact same problem as well. What worked for me was uninstalling and using the torrent on their site to redownload and install from there. I know you said you already tried to reinstall, but give it a go.
