I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This week and now I can't get it out of my head!. I want to buy or find a small / short plastic bat. To use as a base for the construction of a Beater Bat. (for the game of Quidditch) Does anybody have one?
target has wooden ones that are about 12 inches long with the shape of a full size bat. they also have plastic ones of varying shapes and sizes.
At first I thought you were going to Harry Potter convention and were looking to get a real baseball bat. I was mistaken. Your actual plan may not be as noble but it's still a good plan.
Oh, baseball bat. When I read the topic of this, I immediately thought of one of those plastic Halloween bats, like one can hang from a ceiling. But then I often think of bats as in the animal... they're adorable
I bought my bat, now all I have to do is figure out how to make burlap into white bone looking like structure. or something like that.
MY harry potter roleplay character's parents were "monster" hunters. They were killed by a troll, and in the same blow caused the troll to die. In doing so my character "harvested" a leg (or arm) bone and being a Quidditch player, carved a beater bat out of it. Finding out how strong the bone actually is it serves as a great bat, since they have to be "soft" but strong anyways. So I have my bat base, now I want to cover it to turn it into a "bone".
So you have parents that went around murdering innocent trolls and now use one of the bones of the trolls they horrifically killed, as a bat... Whose the real monster here... For the bone I would say soft foam like memory foam and cut and shaved to shape with air brushing for shadow and details.
