    Minutes from the meeting!
    • Recommended games
      • Deep Rock Galactic: four-player co-op mining roguelite with a Starship Troopers vibe that some of us are currently playing. We're streaming this if you want to check it out before buying, and Skill Up has a review on his channel.
      • Sins of a Solar Empire: an older realtime 4x game with a solid modding community to lend replayability. It's a little more frenetic than Stellaris since you can't manipulate time, but you still have plenty of time to react to invading fleets. It's also a lot shorter, so you can complete a game in just an hour or two instead of several nights.
    • MechWarrior Monday sitrep
      • Playing a lot of Living Legends recently
      • MWO is playable again with parties of up to four
      • We're considering TechWars, a top-down isometric mech shooter, and Regular Human Basketball, a couch co-op game similar to Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.
    • Warhammer night continues on Tuesdays
      • Currently playing Inquisitor, but could consider additional games
      • Aeronautica Imperialis is based on the board game
      • Adeptus Titanicus is in early access and looks promising
    • Wednesday Strategy Night is doing well
      • Thursday is a little quiet since a lot of us are busy that evening
    • Suspending Avorian
      • We'll back up the server data but nobody's shown up since the stress test of the server
      • No Man's Sky is looking really good these days and may be a good choice to replace it
      • Elite: Dangerous is another option once some of the upcoming updates land
    • Run and Gun Night returns
      • Recently we had three groups for War Thunder
      • If there's interest we'll expand this event to other games such as Running with Rifles and Renegade X, and we can consider adding other games to the lineup
    • Megamek sitrep
      • Magnus needs some help organizing this
    • Star Citizen sitrep
      • Still under active development, with the next update dropping in a few weeks
      • Theaters of War is landing soon
      • We're planning on organizing an event for the 3.10 update
      • You can find our fleet composition in the forum thread
    • Sundays are currently open if anyone has something they'd like to do
    • Now that Steam Remote Play is a thing, Solo has floated a couch game event

My internet was acting up and so was unable to share these, but here are some great videos that do a really solid job of explaining what has changed with No Man's Sky:

Some different reliable perspectives, but overall, very positive impressions for 2020:

If you want a recap on the whole (hilarious) saga of this game, watch this one:

I know it may seem like I'm pushing hard for this one, but it's only because I've seen it in action in 2020 and (until Elite Dangerous and/or Star Citizen get fleshed out more) NMS is honestly the best damn internet spaceships game we have available at the moment. And you pretty much never see a developer fall so far, only to rise above that, power through it, and actually deliver what was expected of them... in truth... more than what was expected of them. I think that makes it worth a second look for us.
