    DHS & XL Engines:

    As you can see for yourself... getting an XL Engine on your mech is going to be damn near impossible; only 300 and 360 XL rated engines are available... and both come from extremely rare mechs. Even more suprisingly, the Thug was the only mech commonly used by the SLDF that used DHS technology. This is particularly surprising since DHS had been available since 2567. I am willing to throw a bone to players by sprinkling in custom designs to be used ONLY by force commanders and "special forces" units, but encountering mechs with DHS technology will still be significantly few in number.

    ============

    Endo Steel:

    Any mech marked as using Endo Steel cannot be used by players simply because at the time the Periphery did not have the means to service and maintain these units (sorry everyone). Any mechs captured with ES will need to be stripped of important equipment (ie DHS) and "sold".

    ============

    CASE

    I don't see how the Periphery could retrofit such a technology. It is dubious if they could even utilize captured mechs equipped with it effectively. Two choices here:

    Choice #1: Players can still use captured mechs with CASE, but if a section containing CASE is destroyed, that CASE upgrade is permanently removed.

    Choice #2: Treat CASE like a modular system that can be fitted into any ammo bay and track each CASE "item" as inventory. If an ammo explosion occurs in that location, the CASE upgrade is destroyed and can only be replaced with a new one. Essentially, treat it the same as DHS and XL Engines.

    ============

    Ferro Fibrous:

    FF Armor is far more rare than I had expected. The lack of sufficient numbers of mechs makes it incredibly unlikely that the Periphery powers retro-fitted it to their mechs at all (two by my count). I'm ok with giving players DHS and possibly even CASE, but I am increasingly hesitant to allow the use of FF armor. Will need to discuss this with Skwi when he gets back.
